Window films are used to enhance the performance and safety of existing glass in buildings and vehicles. These films improve the external appearance of the glazing and increase comfort and protection for the occupants. Solar control window films minimize glare and hot-spots, reduce solar heat gain and energy consumption, and virtually eliminate damaging UV radiation. Safety and security window films act as protective layers that help hold fractured shards of glass together should the glass shatter.

Safety and security window films adhere to the interior of the glass to act as protective layers, helping secure shards and splinters if the glass shatters. Safety film is manufactured from single or multiple layers of tough, optically clear polyester film laminated together in a variety of constructions. One side of the film is coated with an extremely powerful adhesive formula that is applied to the interior surface of the glass, while the exterior side (the side facing the room) is protected with a special scratch-resistant coating.
